Abstract

This study discusses the design of a UI/UX prototype for the AirPulse application, which functions as an air quality detection tool based on the Air Quality Index (AQI). The prototype development followed a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach, including user analysis, user flow development, wireframe design, and high-fidelity prototype creation. The prototype was tested using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 10 respondents. The evaluation results showed a SUS score of 72.5, which is in the “Good” category. These findings indicate that AirPulse has a good level of usability and can be easily understood by users. The application provides a fairly intuitive user experience, although some visual adjustments are still needed. Overall, AirPulse is considered worthy of further development as an informative and easily accessible air quality monitoring application.
