LOCATION BASE SERVICE FACE RECOGNITION METHOD, EIGENFACE FOR ANDROID BASED KKN STUDENT PRESENCE

Abstract

ABSTRACT Real Work Lectures are a form of learning by providing learning experiences to students in the midst of life in society by participating in helping to solve a problem based on discipline and a current need. Sometimes the lack of transportation and communication facilities causes problems in carrying out activities in the field, such as the problem of supervision which is not properly monitored by the supervisor regarding the presence of students in carrying out activities. Constraints of time and distance as well as the busyness of the supervising lecturers themselves make the monitoring process less than what it should be, so a system is needed that can help record student attendance and provide reports to the supervising lecturer at the activity location based on Location Based Service. This application system was built based on Android using A-GPS as a reinforcement for location detection accuracy and Face Recognition as student identification. So that in this way we can overcome existing problems accurately and effectively.
