Implementation of the Solar System Board Game as a Learning Medium for 6th Grade Elementary School Children

Abstract

The Solar System is a Natural Science material taught to sixth grade students in elementary school. This material still uses the old method where the master explains the learning material to students with book media, then reads it again by the students. Sometimes this method is less effective in increasing students' interest in learning the solar system material. Therefore, it is necessary to present a fun and interactive learning method to increase students' interest and understanding of the solar system material. The purpose of this learning media is to introduce the solar system material, with a board game playing method to make it more interesting and easy for students to remember. The design of this board game is expected to be an alternative media to be used as learning on the solar system material that is relaxed and friendly for children.
