Abstract

The Augmented Reality-based Introduction to Javanese and Balinese Traditional Houses application is a learning media innovation that aims to teach elementary school children about Indonesia's cultural heritage, especially Javanese and Balinese traditional houses, through interactive experiences using augmented reality (AR) technology. This application allows children to explore and understand different types of traditional houses visually in their real world with the help of a smartphone or tablet. In addition, the application also provides educational information, such as explanations and characteristics of traditional houses, and provides an evaluation element to ensure in-depth understanding. Over time, people began to leave traditional houses, both in cities and even in villages, many people began to switch to more modern houses. So that children today hardly recognize the shape and name of traditional houses. This application has benefits in promoting Indonesian culture to the younger generation, increasing their interest in learning culture and history, and can also be used by teachers as an interesting teaching aid.
