The rapid advancement of information technology has encouraged higher education institutions to implement digital-based administrative systems. This study aims to design and implement a Java-based Assistant Attendance Information System (SIA2AMIKOM) at STMIK AMIKOM Surakarta as a solution to replace manual attendance recording. The Research and Development (R&D) method was used to analyze user requirements, design the system using Java and MySQL, and test its functionality through black box testing. The system applies a role-based access control (RBAC) approach for administrators, lecturers, and assistants, allowing them to manage attendance data, generate monthly reports, and automatically calculate honorarium based on recorded attendance. The test results show that all system features function properly and meet user needs. The implementation of SIA2AMIKOM improves administrative efficiency, accuracy, and transparency, supporting the digital transformation of academic administration within the institution.
