Abstract

This research discusses the design and development of a web-based room reservation information system for Hotel Surya Alam, built using the Laravel framework and the Waterfall development method. The background of this study is the hotel’s manual reservation process, which is still conducted through phone calls and handwritten records, often causing delays, data input errors, and difficulties in report generation. The proposed system integrates room availability search, online booking, and digital payment through a payment gateway (VA, QRIS, DANA). Within the Model–View–Controller (MVC) architecture, Laravel separates business logic, user interface, and data management, allowing the system to be easily maintained and expanded. Testing was conducted using the black-box method to verify all functions, including room search, booking, payment, admin validation, and transaction reports. The implementation results show that the system can process reservations in real time, accelerate payment verification, and simplify reservation data management. With a responsive layout and simple user interface, this website improves hotel operational efficiency and provides users with a faster, easier, and more transparent online booking experience.
