Pembaruan UI/UX Aplikasi Disposisi Surat Berbasis Web Menggunakan Framework Laravel dan Tailwind CSS (Studi Kasus: BPS Kota Surakarta)

Abstract

The web-based mail disposition application used at the Surakarta City Statistics Agency (BPS) experienced serious issues in the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) aspects. Based on feedback from key users, the application interface was considered difficult to understand, the design was not up-to-date, and the arrangement of elements was not well organized, which ultimately could disrupt work productivity. This research aims to carry out a complete renovation of the UI/UX to make the application more functional and satisfying for its users. The method applied was Design Thinking, which involves five main steps: Empathize to understand user complaints, Define to formulate problems, Ideate to generate solution ideas, Prototype to create prototypes, and Test to evaluate the results. The working prototype was created using the Laravel framework for the backend and Tailwind CSS to beautify the front-end appearance. This update includes major changes to the Login Page, the Dashboard which now has a navigation sidebar, filter features, and search and the Disposition Input Page, the addition of a new feature called "Add User". As a result, this prototype application displays data more clearly, has a more organized layout, and provides a more efficient and intuitive workflow.
