Abstract

This study presents the design of a Smart Parking System at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Surakarta using a user-centered Design Thinking approach. The parking management at the mosque currently operates manually, often leading to congestion and inefficient vehicle circulation. Through direct observation and user testing, this research identifies core user needs and develops an interactive user interface prototype using Figma. The proposed system integrates IoT-based sensors and digital displays to provide real-time parking availability information. User testing results show an 86% satisfaction rate, indicating improved ease of navigation, time efficiency, and comfort. This study demonstrates that implementing a smart parking system in public worship facilities can enhance management effectiveness, reduce congestion, and promote digital transformation toward more modern and sustainable service management.
